Stringbean Films is an Africa-based production partner helping international productions happen across the continent. Our trusted relationships, local access and network make difficult locations and productions possible.
Built on experience. Grounded in Africa. Connected across the continent.
We are facilitators. We are facilitators. That means solving problems before you know they exist. Border crossings, wildlife permits, generator breakdowns at midnight, weather that changes the plan overnight. We've learned that every production ultimately comes down to four things: was everyone safe, did the client get what they came for, did we come in on budget, and did everyone have a good experience? If we can answer yes to all four, we've done our job.
Mark has managed productions across 14 countries, from the Kalahari to the Maasai Mara. He's the person networks call when the permits fall through, the road washes out, or someone needs a helicopter by Thursday. Twenty-five years in, he still gets a kick out of the chaos.
Wesley's phone book is the most valuable asset in African production. Reality TV, documentary, feature film: he's done it all, and he's built relationships in every country along the way. If there's a door that needs opening, he probably knows who has the key.
