Stringbean was brought in to support a US production filming an episode of The Age of A.I. in Kenya's Maasai Mara. The shoot explored how artificial intelligence and conservation technology are being used to protect wildlife, with filming taking place in a remote, off-grid environment.
Stringbean supplied the local documentary crew and handled the production support on the ground. With the production operating largely on solar power, one of the key challenges was managing and backing up large volumes of camera footage in a remote environment. We established a reliable on-location data workflow while coordinating crew movements, travel and daily logistics through wildlife-rich terrain.
The production was delivered successfully despite the challenges of working remotely and with limited power. Stringbean gave the US team the local crew, infrastructure and problem-solving support needed to focus on the story and capture the conservation work in action.
